Design Brief
This project set out to better understand the challenges to civic engagement and to define innovation territories for ideation and prototyping.
I lead this project in 2016. Some of our insights have since become more apparent, especially after the 2016 elections. The intention to include this project here is to show the employment of design and systems thinking to understand and reframe an extremely complex system.
In the private sector and in our personal lives, the ways in which we connect, convene, and communicate constantly update, yet very little has changed with civic governance and engagement. Our lives happen in cities, yet civic engagement still feels boring, ineffective, frustrating, and outmoded.
